Toxic Things That Lower Your Vibration

Everything in the universe is made out of energy that’s vibrating at different frequencies. That also includes us human beings. And every day, we either raise or lower our vibration, it all depends on our mood, thoughts, and actions!

While many habits will help raise your vibration, a lot of toxic ones will lower it. That’s why it’s so important to become mindful of your daily pattern because you’re probably not even aware that those unhealthy habits are continuing to lower your vibration day after day.

In this post, we’ll go over signs of low vibration in a person and 10 toxic things that lower your vibration frequency. And, if you haven’t read my previous post with 10 powerful tips to raise your vibration, I recommend you check it out now!

Signs of Low Vibration

A person who is vibrating at a low frequency is in a negative headspace. Signs of a low vibration person include:

  • Moody, including feeling depressed and anxious
  • Insecurity and fear
  • Quick to respond with anger
  • Ungrounded
  • Complains a lot
  • Fatigue and little energy
  • Ungrateful
  • Unhealthy with little self-care
  • Feeling stuck in life
  • Make a lot of poor choices
  • Feelings of always being the victim

On the other hand, signs of a high vibration person include positivity, happiness, inner peace, good energy, and healthy!

10 Things That Lower Your Vibration

Below are ten toxic things you should avoid if you wish to raise your vibration!

1. Specific Environments

Your surrounding can either raise or lower your vibration. It may be specific places, certain people, or your surroundings that continue to lower your vibration. Pay attention to how you feel when you are in different settings, and avoid environments that drain your energy and lower your vibe.

2. Watching The News & Violent TV

What you watch on TV has a huge impact on your vibration levels. It can leave you feeling scared and stressed, which are all low vibrations. That especially counts for watching the news and violent TV shows or movies. That’s because the news mainly focuses on negative events, and by consuming all that negativity, your vibration will drop.

3. Stress

When you feel stressed or anxious, you are vibrating at a lower frequency. You are not in the present and are ungrounded.

When you are in those situations, it’s important to ground yourself. Check out my previous post to learn how with powerful grounding techniques and habits!

4. Not Getting Enough Sleep

We all know how important sleep is. Just think about the last time you didn’t get too much sleep. You probably didn’t have too much energy, and all you wanted was to lie down and get that much-needed sleep. Not to mention, sleep deprivation affects your thinking and motor skills. All in all, not getting enough sleep will lower your vibration.

5. Alcohol

While alcohol might temporarily feel good, it’s a depressant that lowers your vibration. It’s an escape from reality that gives you a fake sense of happiness while leaving you low on energy, unmotivated, and irritable when worn off.

Try to avoid alcohol and instead adopt a new, healthy outlook on life, where you can find happiness from within yourself.

6. Negative People & Thinking

Negativity is a major low vibration level. That includes both having a negative mindset and spending time with negative people. Both will drain your energy and leave you feeling low and unmotivated.

Become mindful of your thoughts. Do you usually complain a lot and generally have a negative outlook on life? And, what about the people you spend time with, how do they make you feel?

7. Overthinking

When we overthink, we get trapped in our thoughts and can start to jump to the worst conclusions. It can leave you feeling stressed, ungrounded, anxious, or even paranoid. These are all low vibration emotions you want to avoid!

Learn to let go of the past and trust that everything’s working out exactly how it’s supposed to.

8. Processed Foods

The energy you consume from food has an enormous impact on your vibration levels. Foods that lower your vibration include meat and animal products, processed and fried food. Basically, anything that doesn’t come from plants.

It’s so important to eat food that makes you feel good and raises your vibration. Think of food as your fuel by choosing nutritious-rich, whole, plant-based food.

A great tip is to become mindful of your eating habits and how the food makes you feel. Start with paying attention to how you feel after a meal. The food you eat should give you energy and make you feel good!

9. Social Media

Too much time spent on social media can negatively affect your vibration frequency. However, it also depends on the content you usually check out. Be mindful of what you look at on social media and how it makes you feel. Much of what you see online is a false reality resulting in envy, jealousy, fear, sadness, etc. So, if any social media content leaves you feeling bad, avoid it!

10. Judging & Critizicing Others

Judging and criticizing others is a form of psychical projection. It’s your ego trying to make yourself feel better about an unwanted trait or feeling. And, every time you judge or criticize someone, you lower your vibration frequency since it comes from a negative space.

To overcome this, you must work on building your self-confidence and loving yourself. Because when you are confident, you’ll have no need to project your insecurities onto others!

Work towards removing the toxic things from your life that don’t make you feel good, and you are guaranteed to raise your vibration while feeling your absolute best.
