Most of us are thankful for our lives. We may be blessed with loving families, work that helps us provide daily necessities, our health, friends to laugh with, and free will to live our lives as we please. But how often do we really stop to reflect and express true appreciation? It may not be as often as we should, yet it’s so important.
Have you ever given someone a gift, and once they open it, they show very little appreciation? They unenthusiastically say, “Oh, thanks.” Their words might say “thank you,” but you know it wasn’t sincere. The lack of appreciation will probably not motivate you to get them another gift.
On the other hand, if you give someone a gift and they excitedly say, “WOW, thank you so much, I love it.” You truly feel their appreciation. This act of gratitude not only lifts your spirit but makes you feel appreciated and happy that you made them feel appreciated.
When we express genuine gratitude for all the blessings in our lives and take time to reflect on them, we automatically begin to attract more blessings. That’s because we create what we focus on.

I love your list of 100 things to be thankful for. I especially resonated with being outside. There are so many outdoor things to do that bring so much joy and happiness in my life, and I cannot stress the importance of it. Nothing feels better than counting your blessings. Cheers! š
I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the list. I agree with you, being outside brings me so much joy and happiness, and it is so important to connect with nature in this busy world:)
I love reading these kinds of lists. Iām reminded to say thank you for so many of the things we take for granted. Iām living partially off grid and deeply aware of being grateful for the basics of life that keep us alive and safe.
So exciting that you are living partly off-grid, I’m sure it helps you appreciate the things you got in life more!
